LEADERS IN MAKING

True leadership transcends titles and positions; it emerges from one's character and capability to inspire positive change. Leadership is not by rank or designation; it is by attitude and by competence. In Bhagwad Gita, Lord Krishna says, "Whatever action a great man performs, common men follow; and whatever standards he sets by exemplary acts, all the world pursues." According to this axiom, leaders set an example and become role models. A true leader is intelligent, dynamic, energetic, active, self motivated and ready to act and take initiative in all walks of life. At Indraprastha, we strongly believe in the mantra of building relationships because that's the magic of understanding small things and sustaining it for a lifetime.

  • The Prefectorial Board emerges through transparent, democratic elections. Selected leaders participate in comprehensive Leadership Workshops featuring interactive sessions focused on team-building and leadership enhancement.
  • Student council members independently organize school events and maintain disciplinary standards during key periods, with strategic positioning throughout the campus ensuring effective governance and peer support.
  • Overnight camps challenge students to develop independence, self-confidence, and interpersonal skills while building lasting friendships and discovering new capabilities.
  • The editorial board provides democratic forums for students, teachers, and staff to contribute ideas and perspectives, fostering collaborative school culture.
  • Functional clubs including photography and movie-making offer diverse pathways for students to develop leadership skills while managing school-wide events and initiatives.

SESSION 2025-26

Message from Head BOY

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. But dreams alone are not enough—they must be paired with action, with perseverance, and most importantly, with the courage to stand tall when the world seems to push you down Respected Principal Ma’am, esteemed Headmistress, my inspiring teachers, and my incredible friends—my second family— A heartfelt good [morning/afternoon] to you all. I am Garv Sachdeva, your Head Boy. Before I begin, I want to take a moment to truly acknowledge the pillars of this institution. To our Principal Ma’am and Headmistress—your vision has built more than just a school; it has built a home for dreams. To my teachers—you don’t just teach lessons, you ignite minds, and for that, I am forever grateful. And to my friends—you are the reason this journey feels less like a responsibility and more like a privilege. With you, every challenge is lighter, and every victory is louder. Now, being Head Boy isn’t about titles or authority—it’s about connection. It’s about ensuring that no voice goes unheard, no effort goes unnoticed, and no dream is ever dismissed as ‘too small.’ My mission is simple: to bridge gaps. Between seniors and juniors, between ideas and execution, between what we are and what we have the potential to become. I don’t just want to lead; I want to listen. I don’t just want to inspire; I want to act. Whether it’s through student forums, mentorship programs, or simply being there when someone needs support—I want us to move forward together. Because excellence isn’t a solo act; it’s a chorus. And as we step into this year, let’s remember the words of Langston Hughes: "Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly. Hold fast to dreams, for when dreams go, life is a barren field frozen with snow But let’s also add to it—dream, but also *do*. Believe, but also *build*. Imagine, but also *innovate*. Thank you for trusting me with this role. I won’t let you down. Let’s make this year a story worth telling.

Message from Head Girl

“True leadership is not defined by a title, but by the ability to guide others toward success—ensuring that everyone is fulfilling their potential with dedication and excellence.”

It is both an honour and a privilege to stand before you today as the Head Girl of this esteemed institution. When I first walked through the doors of this school in 2021, I was just another student with a dream. I remember the nervous anticipation of my first day. Today, this school feels like more than just a place of learning; it is a home, and the people within it have become my family.

Through my years here, I’ve come to realize that leadership is not about standing at the top. It’s about being present, being accountable, and lifting others up along the way. Leadership is about empathy, courage, and unwavering conviction. As your Head Girl, I don’t stand above you; I stand beside you—your peer, your ally, and the voice that carries your hopes and aspirations.

I owe my deepest gratitude to our visionary Principal, our dedicated Headmistress, and our extraordinary teachers. Thank you for being much more than educators. You have been our guiding lights, mentors, and constant sources of inspiration. Your belief in me, even on days when I faltered, has been nothing short of empowering. Your dedication to shaping not only the future of this institution but also the futures of each of us, is what makes this school truly exceptional.

A heartfelt thank you goes to my parents for their unyielding support and sacrifices. Their unwavering faith in me has instilled in me the true meaning of selflessness. To my elder sister—my strongest supporter, my anchor—this moment is as much yours as it is mine.

To my fellow students, both juniors and peers, your trust is invaluable to me. This role is not just a badge I wear; it is a responsibility I carry with great pride and seriousness. I am here to listen, to represent, and to work relentlessly alongside you to make our school not just a place of learning but a beacon of inspiration. As we embark on this new journey, we know challenges will arise. But with courage in our hearts, we will not merely face them—we will rise above them. Together, we will transform obstacles into opportunities for growth and success.

To quote the great Barack Obama: “Leadership is not about being in charge. It’s about taking care of those in your charge.”

And that is the kind of leader I strive to be, for you, with you, and because of you.

Workshop  on SAFETY AND SECURITY OF CHILDREN IN SCHOOLS   March 6, 2021

Conducted by :National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR)

A District Level Workshop on Safety and Security of Children in Schools was organized by the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights. It was a one-day participatory creative workshop on March 6, 2021 for the Principals and teachers of different schools.

The main objective of this workshop was to create awareness and educate the staff members to instruct  children on issues pertaining to child rights, child protection and personal hygiene. The focus was on creative expression of these issues which are considered a  taboo in the society.

The purpose of the session revolved around the mantra “Do not talk to a child, talk with a child.”

The  highlight of the workshop was  to learn about the children's rights, ‘good and bad’ touch concepts and dealing with them, personal and menstrual hygiene, importance of nutrition, emergency contact etc.

To achieve this goal, the staff members were guided to infuse their programs and offerings with international and intercultural perspective so that students can move forward with the attitudes and understanding that will provide them with a solid base wherever their studies or work may take them. Primary and secondary school members must further commit to undertake  an ongoing external quality assurance process to enhance student learning.

It was an informative and engaging session.

“Learning never exhausts the mind.”

Keeping these words by Leonardo da Vinci in mind, Indraprastha GLOBAL SCHOOL organised an offline workshop on New Education Policy 2020 on March 6, 2021 to apprise the faculty members about the radical changes implemented by the MHRD The National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020), outlining the vision of India's new education system.

The new policy replaces the previous National Policy on Education, 1986 which will bring transformational reforms in school and higher education systems in the country.

The teachers were briefed about the foundational pillars of Access, Equity, Quality, Affordability and Accountability of Education. This policy is aligned to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and aims to transform India into a vibrant knowledge society and global knowledge superpower by making both school and college education more holistic, flexible, multidisciplinary, suited to 21st century’s needs and aimed at bringing out the unique capabilities of each student.
